I have spent more than twenty years in technology, most recently as a CIO, building and running systems that businesses rely on every day. One lesson kept repeating: launching something is the easy part. Results come from connecting the right pieces, improving them over time and making sure someone is responsible when they need attention.

Most local businesses do not have one system supporting the full customer journey. Their website sits in one place, customer messages in another, reviews somewhere else and follow-up depends on someone remembering to do it. When those pieces are disconnected, opportunities get missed.

At the same time, the way customers find and choose businesses is changing. They search Google, check reviews, send messages, expect quick answers and increasingly ask tools like ChatGPT and Gemini who they should call. Showing up is only the beginning. A business also needs to respond, follow up and make it easy for someone to become a customer.

That is why I started Forward Dawn. We give local businesses one managed platform for their website, Google presence, customer conversations, scheduling, follow-up, reviews and growth. When it makes sense, AI can answer website chats or phone calls, but a human remains accountable for how the system works and what goes live.
